I have always been interested in architecture and design, fabrics, texture and form, and with a keen eye for detail, I've been aware of the importance of the connection between them. I now realise that habitually, I pick up on the energy and flow in a space, and the impact it has on us, but it was only after fully renovating my own home and then helping some friends with their home designs, a spark was fully ignited. Interior design became a natural career progression having spent thirty years in the leisure and hospitality industry, during which, in parallel to my personal life, I developed many pubs, restaurants and hotels, operationally, strategically and most recently creatively, and after completing several large creative projects, Design@Studio17 was formed.

 

We believe that you and your aspirations, the space, its natural light and the intended purpose should be the foundation of each design. For residential properties it's important to me that you not only appreciate its beauty but that your home design is both functional and effortless to live in.

For commercial properties, whilst it needs to create an appropriate ambience be that for work, dining or sleeping, the space must be workable, durable, delightful, and well considered to ensure it suits its purpose, its visitor and the client to maximise the return on the investment.
